It Seems Like Scientists Have Developed The First Vaccine, DNA Aβ42, That Could Activate The Immune System To Fight Beta-amyloid And Tau Proteins, Responsible For The Initiation Of The Alzheimer’s Disease . Though Used Successfully On Mice, Scientists Are Hopeful That The Vaccine Can Be Successfully Used During Human Trials.
Researchers at the University of Texas (UT) reported Tuesday that they have developed a vaccine that could arm the body to attack Alzheimer’s plaques and tangles before they even start to shut down the brain. They hope to test the vaccine in humans soon.
